After graduating from the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996 and 1997and then working for other practices, Dr.'s Elisa and James Spears started the construction of Callfield Companion Animal Clinic in the summer of 2000. They opened for business in March 2001. The Spears' top priorities were to offer the highest quality veterinary medicine matched with top notch customer service in a clean and modern facility. Shortly after opening, CCAC was pleased to have gained accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association. CCAC remains the only veterinary clinic in the Wichita Falls area that is accredited by AAHA. CCAC started out by employing 2 veterinarians and 4 support staff. Over the years they have been blessed to grow into a 6 doctor practice with 15 support staff. Although their practice has grown dramatically, the Spears' priorities have remained top quality veterinary medical care, outstanding customer service, and a clean and modern facility.
Callfield Companion Animal Clinic is an accredited member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). Since 2001, we have regularly undergone evaluations by AAHA to ensure that we comply with the association's high quality standards of care. These standards cover nearly every aspect of our hospital, including surgery, pharmacy, laboratory, exam facilities, pet health records, cleanliness, emergency services, dental and nursing care, diagnostic imaging, and anesthesiology. Approximately 15 percent of animal hospitals in North America are accredited by AAHA.*
